Running
My running practice and a side project I built to make sense of the data.
Why I Run
Running is the part of my week that has nothing to do with screens. It is where I work out what I am thinking about, reset between difficult problems, and remember that progress is built one consistent step at a time. The same instincts that pull me toward research and engineering also pull me toward training data, so I started tracking everything and eventually built a tool to make sense of it.

Side project
StrideAtlas
A personal running dashboard. Just the signal, no feed.
StrideAtlas turns a runner's data into a single page that answers the questions I actually care about: am I getting fitter, where are my personal records, how is my aerobic base trending, and how do my repeated routes stack up against each other. Connect a Strava account, or run it fully offline by ingesting your own.fitand.gpxfiles. Activity data stays on the device.
